1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you add BEV to a Discord server, use any of its commands or features, or use bevbotdiscord.com. By doing any of those things, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use BEV, and remove it from any server you manage.
In these terms, "BEV", "we" and "us" mean the BEV bot, its website and the people who run them.
2. Who can use BEV
BEV works through Discord, so you need to follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and be old enough to use Discord where you live (at least 13 in most countries). Anything Discord doesn't allow isn't allowed with BEV either.
3. Server owners and admins
If you add BEV to a server or change its settings, you're responsible for how it's used there. That includes:
- which features are switched on, and who can use BEV's admin commands;
- the actions BEV takes because of your settings or commands, such as bans, kicks, timeouts, deleted messages and roles it gives or removes;
- telling your members about features that record what they do, such as server logs, the staff log for confessions and the shared raider blocklist;
- what BEV posts for you, such as welcome messages, announcements and auto-replies;
- any prizes in giveaways your server runs. Those are between your server and its members, not BEV.
4. Using BEV fairly
Don't use BEV to:
- harass, threaten, spam or raid anyone, or to break Discord's rules;
- flood commands or buttons, or try to overload, crash or slow down BEV;
- find and use bugs or exploits. If you find one, please report it in the BEV Discord instead;
- farm XP, coins or rewards with alt accounts, scripts, macros or self-bots;
- get people put on the shared raider blocklist who didn't raid or scam, for example by banning them with a misleading reason;
- open the dashboard of a server you don't manage, or get around BEV's permission checks in any other way;
- get BEV's AI to write anything harmful, hateful or illegal.
If you break these rules, we may limit what you can do with BEV or stop you from using it.
5. Coins, XP and casino games
BEV's coins, XP, levels, items and lottery tickets are part of a game. They:
- have no real-world value;
- can't be bought, sold, cashed out or swapped for real money, cryptocurrency or anything else of value;
- can be changed, reset or removed by a server's admins or by us, for example to fix a bug or undo cheating.
The casino games, like blackjack, slots and roulette, and the lottery only ever use these virtual coins. They're just for fun and involve no real money. Don't trade coins or items for real money, or for goods or services outside Discord.
6. AI answers and outside services
Answers from /ask are written by an AI. They can be wrong or out of date, so don't rely on them for medical, legal, money or safety decisions.
Translations, weather, Rocket League stats, stream alerts, news feeds, free game alerts and trivia questions come from outside services. They can be wrong, change or stop working at any time.
8. No guarantees
We work hard to keep BEV running well, but we can't promise that it will always be online, work without mistakes, or keep every piece of data forever. Features can change or be removed at any time.
Settings, XP, coins and other data can be lost, for example after a hosting problem. Keep your own copy of anything important, like your server's rules or moderation history.
9. Stopping
You can stop using BEV whenever you like by removing it from your server. We can stop providing BEV to any person or server at any time, for example by blocking them or removing BEV from a server, especially if these terms are broken.
10. Responsibility for losses
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss caused by using BEV or by not being able to use it. That includes lost data, XP or coins, things BEV did because of a server's settings or commands (like a ban or a deleted message), downtime, and anything outside services do.
Nothing in these terms limits anything that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
11. Other companies
BEV is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, Psyonix or Epic Games. Discord and Rocket League are trademarks of their owners.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and we'll announce bigger changes in the BEV Discord. If you keep using BEV after a change, you're agreeing to the updated terms.
